Doge's Palace: Saint Mark's Square Museums
Masterpiece of the gothic art, Palazzo Ducale (Doge's Palace) is an impressive structure of layers of constructive and ornamental elements: from its ancient bases from the 1300's to the renaissance additions and the splendid manneristic signs.
It is formed by three big parts that had put together the old constructions: the wind that to the South is the oldest and contains the Sala del Maggior Consiglio; the wing that faces the Square, ex Palazzo di Giustizia, contains the Sala dello Scrutinio; and the Renaissance wing hosts the Doge's residence and many government offices.

Doge's Palace - Secret Itineraries
Not accessible with the standard ticket, these tours take the visitor into the most secret and fascinating rooms in the Palace. The ticket includes the guided tour to the itineraries and also access (without a guide) to the rest of the Doge's Palace.
Tours are all with a specialised guide, for a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 25; they start at fixed times according to the following schedule: Italian 9.30, 11.10; English: 9.55, 10.45, 11.35; French: 10.20, 12.00. Visits at 10:45 and 12:25 are not available on August.

Doges Palace Venice and Secret Itinerary Tour

Clock Tower
The Moors' Clock Tower is one of the most famous architectural landmarks in Venice, standing over an arch that leads into what is the main shopping street of the city, the old Merceria. The Tower and its large Astronomical Clock, a masterpiece of technology and engineering, form an essential part of the very image of Venice. For more than five hundred years, they have measured out the flow of life and history within the city.
Holders of the ticket for the Clock Tower get free admission to the Museo Correr, the National Archaelogical Museum and the State Rooms of the Biblioteca Marciana.

Venice Accademia Galleries
The Accademia Galleries are an important collection of venetian patinings from Century 14th to 18th, including masterpieces of the most famous masters like Bellini, Giorgione, Carpaccio, Tiziano, Tintoretto, Veronese and Tiepolo.
After the suppression of religious congregations and public venetian magistratures, and enormous quantity of art works was confiscated. A selection of masterpieces was sent to the seat of the central power in Paris to be shown in the Louvre Museum.
The link between the Academy Galleries and Venice is very deep: rooms keep many works from churches, schools and public magistratures that help the public to understand the solutions created by a painter for a specific destination and meaning of a painting. In some cases, the shown works are the only testimony remained from churches destroyed in the Napoleon period, and some of the most famous paintings of private houses form part of the collections thanks to the generosity of private collectors.

Ca' d'Oro - Franchetti Gallery
Ca' D'Oro represents the highest and most complete example of the new gothic arquitecture between the end of the 14th Century and the first half of the 15th Century. Palace was built between 1421 and 1440 by Marino Contarini, rich venetian merchant, on the area of a previous venetian-bizantine residence. To its creation took part celebrities like Marco d'Amadio, Matteo Raverti, Giovanni and Bartolomeo Buon, that was also the author of the well in the patio.
Opening hours: Monday from 08:15 to 14:00; from Tuesday to Sunday from 08:15 to 19:15. Ticket office closes 30 minutes before museum closure. Closure: January 1st, May 1st, December 25th.
