AIRPORT

The airport "Marco Polo" is 10/12 Km from Venice centre depending on what method of ground transportation you choose to arrive to Venice. Public transportation is available by bus, water bus and private water taxis.

Arriving by car...
You can park your car in Piazzale Roma choosing between different parkings open all day. Otherwise there is the Tronchetto parking based on the island of Tronchetto.
Then you can get to Venice's old city centre using private or public transportation.

TICKETS
It is recommended for tourists to buy an Actv Pass instead of a single ticket. It allows you to use all types of public transportation for the time indicated in the pass.

There are five Actc Pass kinds:
– 12 hours ticket, € 13
– 24 hours ticket, € 15
– 36 hours ticket, € 20
– 48 hours ticket, € 30
– 72 hours ticket, € 48

Price of the ticket includes a no more than 150 cm large baggage. Otherwise you can buy a three day ticket if you are younger than 29 and have a Rolling Venice Card (€ 4), spending only € 15,00.

VENICE CARD
If you stay in Venice for more than 3 days, it’s recommended to buy a VeniceCard (not to confuse with the CARTAVENEZIA reserved only to the citizens of Veneto).
It’s a discount card guaranteed by the Municipally of Venice.
Available in two different types – orange VeniceCard and blue VeniceCard.

Blue VeniceCard includes:
Public transportation, free access to toilette services; you can buy a 12/48 hours or 7 days blue card. Senior VeniceCard is for people over 30, junior VeniceCard is for 29 years of age and under.

Orange VeniceCard includes:
Public transportation, toilette services, and free access to all Venetian public galleries. For 48 hours and 7 days card you have free access to "Chorus" churches, Querini Stampalia Foundation, Jewish ghetto.

You can buy a 12/48 hours or 7 days orange card: senior VeniceCard is for over 30 years people (in this case even free access to Casinò is included), junior VeniceCard is for under 29 years people. You can have also special discounts on parking, bars, restaurants, shops exposing VeniceCard acceptance.
In both cases you can include Alilaguna service from/to airport and have a cut price for parking "Venezia Tronchetto Parking" in Trochetto.
